Poem for my birthday, this poetry was created in the early hours of the 16th of February 2020, my 46th birthday
Written by Daphne Tore / Dean Thorpe
Another year, has come, and gone,
To me this one, has felt, so long.
This was the year, my heart, went wrong,
One day I hope, I will, feel strong.
One year older, some how, I got,
Help from my friends, I’ve not, forgot.
Hidden away, not left, to rot,
It’s been by choice, needed, a lot.
Toxic people, have gone, away,
Have no regrets, no words, to say.
Helen with me, I’ll be, okay,
Keeping me safe, there night, and day.
To the future, I try, to see,
What will happen, what will, I be.
Want to create, my mind, let free,
Good year for me, twenty, twenty.
